is an interdisciplinary artist exploring poetry, performance and fashion design. He lives and works in Chicago, Illinois and holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2015), where he studied both fashion design and poetry. His work examines identity and the liminal space that exists between past trauma and present memory, incorporating themes of mythology, sexuality, nature and fragility.
Jasper navigates many different creative outlets, designing freelance costumes and garments, performing within Chicago's drag and nightlife scene, teaching construction and patternmaking at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and writing poetry. He is a 2018 Luminarts Fellow in Creative Writing and has been awarded the Perry Ellis Scholarship and the Senior Menswear Award through SAIC. Full CV available upon request.
